"Concentrated at 30%, Gris Charnel Extrait reveals the intensity of the original signature to extract a richer and more faceted version. A new creation, where the woody essence of patchouli is invited and brings depth to the sandalwood and tonka bean that reveal themselves more textured and warmer. Voluptuous, vanilla underlines this trail with an ambery and smoked roundness. At the top, the freshness and vibrant cardamom combines with the delicacy of a fig with green and fruity accents. A bright opening that illuminates the opulent note of the fragrance."

    I have found my 50 year old signature scent!! The Gris Charnel is very nice, but this Extrait is a head turner. The black tea is more prominent and the fig is mellowed. Projects like a champ 6-9 hours in a gentle wafting fashion - got more compliments hours 3+ even though I thought it had gone to skin mode. Male, female, gay, straight, old or young.. even my dog was intrigued. Patient asked who smells like tea (I work in surgical arena) and the nurses pointed at me.. I was called in so I just smiled and asked if he wanted cream and sugar. This is an elegantly earthy, grounded and fougere master class. Perfect if white florals and pistachio scents bore you. Superb work BDK.
