Versace

Versace est une maison de création de mode italienne fondée par feu Gianni Versace et poursuivie par d'autres membres de la famille Versace après sa mort. Lancée avec une ligne de vêtements pour femmes en 1978, l'entreprise a connu un succès instantané. Une ligne pour hommes et la première boutique de l'entreprise à Milan suivent la même année. Gianni Versace a choisi le symbole Medusa comme logo de son entreprise. Les vêtements et accessoires luxueux de l'entreprise se caractérisent par des influences allant du pop art à l'architecture classique grecque et romaine.

Le premier parfum Versace, Gianni Versace for Women, a été lancé en 1981. Des parfums pour hommes et femmes sont proposés sous les marques Versace, Versus, Jeans et Jeans Couture. Les parfums Versace sont produits en collaboration avec Euroitalia SRL.

Gianni Versace a été victime d'un meurtrier américain en 1997, mais la société continue de proposer des vêtements et des parfums sous la direction de sa famille.
