Penhaligon's

Penhaligon's est une parfumerie britannique créée en 1870 par William Penhaligon. À l'origine salon de coiffure, Penhaligon's a proposé son premier parfum en 1872, Hammam Bouquet. Le parfum s'inspire du bain turc voisin et de ses vapeurs sulfureuses. Le parfum le plus vendu de la société, Blenheim Bouquet de 1902, créé à la demande du duc de Marlborough au palais de Blenheim, a rompu avec les tendances florales dominantes de l'époque pour enchanter avec des agrumes piquants, des épices et des bois.

L'intérêt pour l'entreprise a été renouvelé avec l'ouverture d'un nouveau magasin phare de Penahligon à Covent Gardens, en 1975. Le magasin phare représentait également une nouvelle direction pour l'entreprise, avec la résurrection des anciennes formules composées par William Penahligon et de nouveaux parfums floraux. conçu pour plaire à une clientèle féminine moderne. Le principal d'entre eux était le Bluebell de 1978, qui reste aujourd'hui un best-seller pour l'entreprise.
